otrzymaliśmy zaproszenie od francuskiej grupy wsparcia dla dotkniętych stożkiem rogówki na pierwszą międzynarodową konferencję dot. stożka rogówki.
Wydaje mi się, że bardziej pożądanymi gośćmi na takim spotkaniu byliby sami lekarze ale jest ona otwarta również dla innych osób, Przedstawiam więc poniżej wycinek z maila z zaproszeniem...
| Cytat: | I am writing to you to invite you to the 1st European Conference on Keratoconus which is to be held in Toulouse next November 30th. The main topic of this one-day event is Post-operative ectasia. Participating doctors will be from different European countries.
We will have the opportunity to sit in on the medical presentations (which in itself will be highly interesting) and also meet together to "talk shop" and pool experiences. The organizers have offered us the use of a meeting room to meet. Depending on who shows up and what people think, we could even envisage some sort of Eurpean collaboration which might be useful in dealing with European institutions, including Eurordis.
We are writing to groups in the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden Italy, Spain, Holland, Bulgaria, Romania and Russia (even though they are non-EU). There may be other groups I'm not aware of.

New surgical alternatives in 2007
New therapies (implants, intracorneal rings, cross-linking‌)
What type of keratoplasty for 2007?

All the medical presentations will be in English or simultaneously translated.
Money is – when isn't it? - a problem. We are working on finding cheap accommodation in Toulouse. Fortunately, there are more and more cheap flights to Toulouse, which is a beautiful city.

Może coś wspólnie uradzimy w tym temacie i np uda się wysłać delegację z Polski...

28 lutego 2008 roku byłam na kontrolnej wizycie u dr Szymanka w stolicy... gawędząc z miłymi Paniami w rejestracji czy jak to sie u nich zwie gdy chciałam zostawić kolejny raz nasze wizytówki dowiedziałam się, że Pan doktor był na konferencji we Francji o której to dowiedział się z naszej strony keratoconus.pl o której to dowiedział się z tych pozostawionych poprzednio przeze mnie wizytówek 
Więc wróciłam do gabinetu zapytać o czym tam rozprawiano i.... dyskusja była głównie o xlinkingu, nowościach w tej metodzie i na czym ona polega. Tak oto w skrócie mogę przedstawić treść konferencji. Doktor podziękował, że mógł na niej być (dzięki nam  ) i powiedział, że była ciekawa.
